The Farmers Training on Business Management focused on the lecture and discussion about Business Plan formulation, specifically on: 1) Lecture on Business Plan; 2) Lecture and Exercise (Experiencing the Formulation of a Business Plan); 3) Lecture and Exercise (Experience Monthly Recording) and; 4) Exercise in Making the Participants’ Own Business Plans. Pre and Post-tests were also conducted to gauge the participants’ knowledge about the topic.

The activity was facilitated by Mr. Masayoshi Nakatani, JICA Expert on Economic Development; Prof. Josephine Migalbin, USM Director on Human Resource Development and Training; and Mr. Geoffray Atok, USM Instructor. ASEC Maritess K. Maguindra was also present to grace the event.

The activity was attended by 30 farmers from the municipalities of North Upi, Sultan Kudarat and Parang in Maguindanao. The resource speakers were from USM Kabacan, DTI-ARMM, BFAR-ARMM, DAF-ARMM, DAR-ARMM, RBOI-ARMM and DOT-ARMM respectively.
