        The study tour in Infrastructure Construction and Development was intended for enhancing the knowledge of participants on the principles of infrastructure management particularly on roads, bridges and flood control and irrigation system. The participants were from the DPWH-ARMM in-house trainees and trainers and included field tours in various infrastructure projects along Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway in Davao del Norte to Butuan City and to Cagayan de Oro City. They specifically visited the offices of the DPWH-Butuan for their CARBDP projects (Cotabato-Agusan River Basin Development Program) and at Bit-os Pumping Station of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) for their Lower Agusan Development Project – Irrigation Component. 

 

The group was facilitated by Mr. Clovis Ike J. Payumo, JICA Infrastructure Development Expert, aided by Dir. Guialoson A. Mamogkat, ITWG Team Leader and Head Trainer. The group was also assisted by Mr. Toto D. Laguialaot, Local Coordinator – IC Net Cotabato Office.
